WIC/Nutrition Services


The Nutrition Team at the Martha Eliot Health Center is available to assess the nutritional need of individuals and families. Our Registered Dietitians provide individualized counseling based on personal preferences, health needs and lifestyle. Comprehensive care in provided in the form of nutritional analysis, individual and family counseling and support groups.


The WIC (Women Infants & Children) program provides free nutrition education, referrals, breastfeeding support, counseling, and supplemental foods to eligible pregnant, post partum, and breast-feeding women, infants and children under the age of 5.


  • Residential: Any resident of the state of Massachusetts
  • Income:
    • Any resident that’s within the Federal Poverty Guidelines
    • Any resident that uses other social services (i.e. SNAP Benefits, Medicare)
  • Mothers:
    • Perinatal mothers (up to 6 months after birth)
    • Mothers who breastfeed their children (up to one years old)
  • Infants: Any infant up to the age of 1 years old
  • Children: Any child up to the age of 5 years.
  • Nutritional Risk: Any resident seen by a medical professional and is deemed as having a nutritional risk.


  • Provides nutritional counseling, access to health services to low-income women, infants, and children
  • Improves the livelihood of mothers, infants, and children by providing them access to nutrition
